Soccer Saturdays

Lillian, Taylor, Katelyn, and Molly

Soccer in the Cosey home has started and with a BANG I might add. Taylor has played soccer for 6 years but on a league that was not very "challenging". So we decided to move her to a more "competitive" league. After practicing twice a week and a week long soccer camp, only 3 weeks ago, I knew Taylor would be up for the challenge. What I didn't realize was will I be up for the challenge? I had been waiting and waiting for her soccer schedule to come out because I was so excited to start planning our weekends out with football starting. When I got the e-mail I think I fell to the floor. What do you mean 3 games in 1 day? Is that possible? I mean for a little 8 year old girl to play that much? I know we have been blessed to have the UT girls soccer assistant coach and all but WOW I thought to myself. I had no idea this league was this intense. Well Saturday came and Taylor did GREAT! What an athlete she is. I played soccer growing up but never like this. All the girls were troopers and played their hearts out!!! The only thing challenging for us as a family will be wrangling a toddler all day at a soccer field and working around UT Football Games (really the most important thing don't you think? ha ha!! )

Birthday Pampering

I hate that I am just now posting these pics, but August 5 was my dear friends birthday. It was Shannon's idea to take her to Spa Visage...a wonderful place to get "PAMPERED"! Indeed, that's just what we did. What a wonderful day I had with these girls sharing this special day with such a sweet and special friend that is very dear to my heart! Happy Belated Blog Birthday Jen!

SUMMERS GONE....SCHOOLS BACK ON!!!

Taylor and her new friend/classmate Carly. What a blessing it is to have Carly and her family join the CAK family. Taylor and her hit it off right off the bat.
She is such a sweet girl and her family is precious.
Welcome Joyner Family!

And this is Mason with his buddy Blaine

Another year...can't believe it. Her are the cousins...Ally(5th grade and ruling the school), Madden(2nd grade), Tayor(3rd grade) and Mason(1st grade). We are so thankful they go to the same school we do.

Here are the "crazy girls" having some fun after the "Meet your Teacher" day.
Only 2 days until we all have to get up SO early again. NOT looking forward to that, but looking forward to getting the house back in order!

FC Alliance Camp

Taylor will be playing soccer for FC Alliance this year. It is a competitive/traveling soccer team. After playing 6 years with Upward, we decided it was time Taylor needed a little bit more instruction and "competitiveness!" We are so fortunate to have Coach Mike! He is the Assistant Coach for the UT Lady Vols soccer team. How cool is that? Don't think you can get better instruction than that at this age. We are looking forward to watching her play this fall and traveling a little bit. She is on a team with 5 other girls that are in 3rd grade at CAK. She discovered this past week at camp that she LOVES playing "GOALIE" and LOVES playing "FORWARD." Good Luck Taylor!
