CAK Booster Bash

On March 7th, Tony was invited to speak at our school's Booster Bash along with John McCready an Olympic Gymnast who happens to live in Crossville, TN.  It was an Olympic themed night with lots and lots of silent auction items.  We almost won a skybox for 6 people for a football game this coming fall but got outbidded at the last minute.  The food was great but the speakers were even better...the best part of the night if you ask me...HA HA!!

"Lemonade" production at CAK

Taylor played Jack and the Beanstalk's mother and Grace was a BEAUTIFUL Cinderella!

Taylor and Mary Caroline

The Kindergartener's were chefs and wore hats and aprons

Does it surprise you at all that Mason would be in the middle of all these girls?

Regional Spelling Bee in Asheville, NC

On March 6, 2009 we traveled to Asheville, NC for the Regional Spelling Bee Taylor competed in.  To get there, she got 3rd place out of all the 2nd grade classes (top 4 went).  Although she didn't end p winning at regionals, this was a great experience for her and we are VERY PROUD of her for making that far!!

Then a little prayer.......

Nashville Science Center

Sorry I am just now posting these pics...been a little busy lately.  These pictures are from our recent trip to Nashville.  On Sunday, we visited the Science Museum before we headed home. This place was amazing!!!!!!!  We couldn't even get past the first floor and we had already been there for a couple of hours.  The kids had a blast and are already begging to go back next time we go visit Gumpdaddy and Nana.  I keep asking myself..."Why haven't we ever come here before?"  I mean my dad has lived in Nashville for years and years.  Anyway, this is definately on our list of things to do...again...next time we go to Nashville.

Big Boy Baker...poor thing...he wanted to ride so bad

And this ladies and gentlemen is a new form of punishment for Mason ha ha!!!

This was so neat...a very LARGE piano.  Not sure who had more fun Baker or Tony

OK. This was the coolest thing they had at the museum...at least I thought.  As an advocate for people with disabilities (my bachelor's degree was in Recreational Therapy), there was no way my children were leaving the museum before they experienced what it is like to be in a wheelchair...let alone play basketball while in one.  They actually did pretty good going up and down the ramps.  The kids had a lot of fun and didn't want to stop.  I was glad to see so many children waiting in line to experience this.

"IS THERE A DOCTOR IN THE HOUSE?" Oh! There's one ha ha!  Dr. Taylor Cosey!
Ok, now this is where Taylor had the most fun and no that is not a real person laying there, although Taylor would have been in Heaven if that were the case.  Heaven for Taylor didn't happen until we entered the Pathology Lab...see picture below

Look at that grin on her face!  It's hard to tell but she was able to see a REAL HUMAN BRAIN! And a sheep heart, skulls, and pig's heart.  She didn't want to leave!  Pretty Cool!
