Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

What a treat these last couple of days have been for the kids.  They were out of school yesterday for MLK day and now they are out of school again for this!  SNOW!!! SNOW!! Unheard of in East Tn anymore.  The kids had a blast playing out in the snow yesterday but today was the day! Yesterday Tony and I woke up to sounds of kids outside.  What? You say.  Yes, the kids had gotten dressed and ran outside to jump on the trampoline in their pajamas before Tony and I woke up.  Thankfully the trampoline is right outside our window.  Guess it won't be hard to sneak out of our house when they are older ha! ha!  Then today, the kids come busting in our room yelling, "It's totally snowing outside!!!!!!  It's totally WHITE!!!!!!!" And thank goodness it wasn't at the crack of dawn either.

This is a picture of the front of our house after the beautiful snow today.

This is a picture of the kids who sneaked out of the house at the crack of dawn yesterday.

And what's a day out of school for snow without a brotherly and sisterly SNOWBALL FIGHT!!!

Ok I just love this picture! Taylor is posing with the "DIRTY SNOWMAN" as we call him.  She and her daddy spent a long time yesterday making it out of the little bit of snow we had.  Please notice all of the snowman's accessories...precious precious!!

After I spent about 30 minutes pumping up this Snake Tube Boggan that my dad bought for the kids about 4 years (did I mention it never snows in Knoxville so it has never been used) the kids went to the neighbors house to go sledding.  About 20 minutes later Taylor is dragging it back to the house busted!!! Well at least they had fun I guess.

Mason and his friend Gracy had a great time playing together as always!!

Double Date Night

Last night we went out with our friends Shannon and Karen Sapp.  What's a night out without great food and great friends?  We ended up going to a restaurant called Seasons in Farragut.  It was the most delicious food Tony and I had ever tasted.  Guess you get better food when the friends your with actually know the chef personally.  We "feasted" on the biggest salads you have ever seen then moved on to our delicious entree's of Sea Bass and a Filet. YUM YUM YUM!!! Shannon stuck with the duck which turned out to be delicious as well.  What an awesome night we had with you guys...thanks so much and Karen...Atlanta here we come right?

A little Rocket Fun!

On your mark...

Get set...

Goooooooooooo!!!!!!!!
Mason had a blast playing with his rocket launcher he got for Christmas from Aunt Kelly and Uncle Trebor the other day.  He was out there for hours and we even had all the neighborhood kids come down and join us. Thanks for such a great gift!

NEW YEAR'S EVE...HOT TUB AND SMORES

Our family had the best time on New Year's Eve hanging out with our great friends the Roddy's and some of their friends from Nashville.  We started the night off with some chili and had Jen's wonderful brownies for dessert.  The kids ate so fast that I'm not even sure they knew what they ate because we told them they could get in the hot tub after they ate dinner.  After the hot tub the kids roasted marshmallows and made smores...a favorite at our house!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO All OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!

JD and Jen

OK now this picture may look crazy to some of you...Kids in bathing suits with a Christmas tree in the background.  Yep! That's right those crazy kids actually braved the cold and went in the hot tub.  Believe it or not to this day nobody got sick!

Me and my sweet friend Jen

From Hot Tub to Smores...After swimming in the hot tub, the kids wanted to do smores.

"Please somebody come get me! I want to roast smores too!"

JD and Baker having some New Year's fun!

Baker finally made it outside for just a few minutes until he got too cold

This is a picture of Queen Jen and Princess Anna Claire.  These high maintenance girls just couldn't hack the fire and the cold outside anymore so they decided the microwave would work just as good.

Lindsay, Me, and Jamie
After celebrating with The Roddy's Tony and I headed over to our good friends Mark and Lindsay's house to ring in 2009 and watch a guy almost kill himself on that stupid motocycle!!!
