Cancun Trip

Hilton Golf and Spa Resort in Cancun, Mexico
October 18-22 2006

Tony and I visited the wonderful country of Mexico during Fall Break. It was 95 degrees and sunny the entire time. We were definately overdue for a little FUN IN THE SUN!! We were blessed with this awesome vacation through USA Track and Field where Tony is Vice-Chair for the Athletes Advisory Council. It was an Elite Athlete Retreat where only the Top 10 in the world in their event were invited. Needless to say I met some of the best track athletes in history. Oh and did I mention it was all-inclusive so all we did was eat, eat, and eat some more.

I love my hubby!!

Yes that's actually me touching a SHARK!! Call me crazy but they assured me that it wouldn't bite me.

And here is Tony touching a STINGRAY!!

And FINALLy my life long dream of swimming with dolphins was fulfilled. I have been waiting all my life to swim and interact with these beautiful creatures. God blessed me with more than just a quick swim like most people get. There are usually about 10-12 people per group but there were only 3 of us this time (Me, Tony and a man from Spain). We were the last group of the day and the first dolphin we swam with didn't want to work that day. So they had us move over to another tank with 5 DOLPHINS!!! Never did I imagine I would swim with 1 much less 5 dolphins at one time. I think this was special for us because they don't normally do this. We also got a lot of extra time to play with them. My favorite part was when the dolphins pushed me up out of the water by my feet. It was truly a dream come true!!

Here is a picture of Tony and his dolphin. All of the dolphins just LOVED him. They all spent more time swimming around Tony than anyone. The dolphins just loved to have Tony rub their bellies. This was a wonderful experience we will always remember.
