Big Ed's Pizza Fun with the Roddy's

Before we left for Nashville we met up the the Roddy's for some pizza.  I can't believe that I had never eaten there before.  Never understood why people would travel all the way to Oak Ridge just to get pizza...now I do! It was delicious and the lids ate a whole pizza by themselves.

Nashville Christmas

We had a great time celebrating Christmas in Nashville the weekend after Christmas.  We were able to visit with my parents and grandmother and with my sister and her family...seems odd that they also live in Knoxville but we have to drive to Nashville to actually see them!  Guess we are just two really busy families. We got there on Friday afternoon and of course the kids couldn't wait to open presents...actually I think it was Dad that couldn't wait!!  Kelly and I put the babies to bed and then it was off to ripping off the wrapping paper.  Mason got a real tool set and a robot.  Mason couldn't wait to get home and start using his tool set...HE LOVES IT! I actually found him the other day nailing everything he could find to the swingset...even his Grandparents Day poster!  Taylor got a chemistry set and a microscope...We call her Dr. Cosey because this is what she wants to be when she grows up.  Guess Dad and Nell figured why not start her out early.  I think Dad had the most fun using the Chemistry set with the kids...Lucky for us nothing got blown up that day!! And Baker got the cutest crawl through house that makes lots of sounds and lights up.  He plays with it all the time!!  Thanks Dad and Nell for all the good food and fun this Christmas!

Cancun Trip December 9-14 2008

Our hotel Rui Caribe

When we arrived we found these cute little heart swans made out of towels.  Yes we were on a 2nd honeymoon but honestly I thought we walked into the wrong hotel room.  But then I remembered when we booked the hotel it asked if we would like a fruit tray for FREE!  Of course I signed up it was free.  I guess what I really signed up for was a honeymoon package or something.  Anyway, the fruit tray was great and the character towels in our room everyday was a sweet gesture.

Tony surprised me with a "Moonlight Couples Massage" on the beach.

Ok now this was my favorite things we did while in Cancun.  I have always wanted to ride horses on the beach and we did!  It still doesn't beat swimming with the dolphins last time we were there but it ranks right up there.

Not only did we ride them on the beach but we got to ride them bare back in the ocean!  This was so cool and so much fun!

Christmas in Cancun

And for anyone who knows me I love Alaskan King Crab Legs!!!!!!!!!  I will order them anywhere, anytime if available.

Me and Tony at Lorenzillos on the water.  We were so sick of eating the hotel food we just had to get out on our last night in Cancun.

Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow

On December 5 we got our first snow of the season.  The kids were so excited they started screaming and ran outside.  Needless to say they got very disappointed very quickly when the snow stopped as soon as it started.  I promise if you look real close you can see snowflakes...I mean really really close.

Thanksgiving 2008

GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR HE IS GOOD.........

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had this year with all the family that came into town from Atlanta and South Carolina.  We were able to spend some great quality time with Tony's parents and his brothers and their kids.  Thanksgiving morning started out like all the other Thanksgiving mornings....up very early to start cooking.  Not me of course...Tony's Mom!  Thank God for her and her willingness to cook for all 16 of us!! Yes I was still in bed when Mason and Taylor busted in my room and yelled "Mimi cut her finger off!" Of course Tony and I thought they were joking and tried to go back to sleep.  They kept on and on and on.  Finally we got out of bed and went downstairs to find Mimi with her finger wrapped still trying to cook the dinner. After awhile we finally convinced her to go to the emergency room.  What would a Thanksgiving at the Cosey's be like without a trip to the emergency room?  That's 2 years in a row.  Last year Mason had croup and we had to take him.  Anyway, I know this post is rather late but I hope you all counted your blessings this past Thanksgiving and will continue to do so this coming year.  Happy Belated Gobble Gobble!!

Broncos vs. Falcons game in Atlanta

These are pictures from our last minute trip to see the Broncos play in Atlanta with the Roddy's.  They are HUGE Bronocs fans and we just went along to get out of K-town for the day.  I can honestly say that this was the funnest trip we have ever been on with friends.  I have never laughed so hard and so much in my life.  I actually had a tummy ache the next day.  Thanks Sweet friends for the invite... we had a great time!
