What a weekend this was for our whole family. It was a non stop party!! My parents came in from Nashville to help us celebrate Mason's birthday...with an added bonus! Tony and I went to the UT vs. UCLA game while my parent babysat our kids. This turned out to be a bonus because we always have to PAY a babysitter. See, we have no parents in town to help us babysit kids and because we have season tickets this year I feel like we are constantly throwing our paychecks to the babysitter.
Here is Mason so excited about his ice cream cake
Making a wish
Does he ever take a serious picture? NO!!!!!!!!!!!
And here is a picture of LEGOLAND! Since Mason turned 7 our house has turned into nothing but Legos. He got at least 6 sets of Legos for his birthday, not counting the ones we already had. I have found them in my purse, in the car, on the floor, in my bed, in my shoes, at the bottom of my drink and yes even Baker's diaper!! I think we are somewhere over 5,000 pieces of Legos. I have threatened to trash them all as I step on them in the middle of the night. But how can I do that when that's all this boy does. He eats, breaths, and sleeps Legos. Oh well! I'm betting he is going to be a great architect one day.
Just a random pic I threw in there of Baker trying to fill his daddy's shoes. That's gonna be a tough job one day.
On Sunday, we had Mason's party at LaserQuest. These are the boys in his class with a few extra friends from other classes. These kids had a blast but I think the adults had more fun.
Mason and his Indiana Jones cake. You will be seeing more of Indiana Jones in the future so stay tuned...Hint: Around Halloween time
And here I am with my precious friend Jen...AKA my Assistant ha ha! Finally nice to have you as mine for once LOL!
I put this picture on here not to flaunt the fact that Mason got money for a birthday present but to show you the BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT ever!!! Mason's friend wanted to give him money for his birthday so they decided to make it more interesting by rolling up 20 $1 dollar bills and then cutting a hole in the lid of a container. On the top they wrote a sign that said "pull here". When he did the $1 bills were all taped together and as he pulled they kept coming out, and out and out. You can see in the picture how hysterical the kids are. I have never seen a bunch of boys laugh so hard in my life. It was truly a gift I know Mason will never forget an one that I will use on someone else one day.
